I am glad to welcome you on my site!
My name is Svetlana Tupahina, I am a watercolor artist and graphic designer. I have been a member of the Belarusian Union of Designers since 2009. Born on August 18th in Zaporozhye, Ukrain. Currently I live and work in Minsk, Belarus.
My career was not easy. At first I wanted to be an actress, with a medal I graduated from school with a theatrical bias. Then I realized that I don’t want it to be my profession. After school I entered the Radio Engineering Institute, graduated with honors. By first education, I am an electronic engineer. But my creative nature prevailed so next I retrained as a designer. At first, these were one-year design courses, 3D MAX, but then I received a second higher education at the Academy of Arts, the faculty of graphic design.
Started working as a designer in 1998. Since 2009 I am a member of the Belarusian Union of Designers. I managed to do a lot as a designer during this time, but always wanted to improve myself as an artist, since it helps to do the work better.
I tried different techniques, but fell in love with watercolor because of its unique capabilities. I’m seriously interested in it since 2014, and so far attended multiple world-renowned watercolor artists workshop. I can say that watercolor has opened the world for me. I began to participate in international exhibitions, contests, festivals. It is especially pleasant when your work is evaluated at the competition. Getting acquainted with beautiful people and places, I draw inspiration from watercolor travels and plein airs.
Watercolor improved me as a designer. After all, the ability to draw is also the development of taste, creative imagination and color perception. I really like to experiment, look for new ways to convey my feelings. Watercolor allows me to do this. I do not want to get stuck in one trick or plot - because the world is so beautiful and diverse. Each new work is a challenge to itself, a search and an experiment. And now, developing a new design, I enjoy the fact that I can draw a lot myself - this makes the process more creative and interesting, and most importantly - it allows me to create exclusive products for my clients.
For the website, I chose my most memorable artwork. Each has something important for me. Sometimes it is a sudden inspiration, somewhere - the solution to a difficult task, and sometimes - the aftertaste of communicating with interesting people.
I constantly continue to develop myself in watercolor technique and already started to teach other people. After all, inspiration must be shared, right?
If you like my work and have creative tasks - write or call, I will be glad!
